This article examines the differences between these modalities, focusing on aspects such as accessibility, communication dynamics, cost, mediator skills, and overall effectiveness. By drawing on existing literature and empirical studies, the article provides a comprehensive analysis of the strengths and limitations of each approach, offering insights for practitioners and policymakers to enhance the mediation process.
Introduction

Traditionally, mediation sessions were conducted face-to-face, allowing direct interaction between parties. However, advancements in technology have introduced virtual mediation, particularly through platforms like Zoom, as a viable alternative. This paper explores the differences between in-person and virtual mediation, evaluating their respective benefits and challenges, with a particular focus on the skills required by mediators in each setting.
